Morphine is a small three piece band based in bostonthat was known for its songwriting that fused elements of Jazz, Blues and Rock. This fusion made their sound incredibly unique. I was tasked to create an album cover that included liner notes within the packaging. Being a 90’s band it was a great opportunity to try my hand with more experimental imagery and use of typography. I played up the contrast on the layout of the lyrics to songs and cranked up the expressive colorful designs on the opposite page. The imagery consists of sandwiching and masking various types of long exposure lightning and texture effects over a single simple image. This provides a more layered look.
