Three Amigos
A different direction for Salsa

Three Amigos
Inspiration
Three Amigos is a friendly brand of salsas that appeal to a broad based of spicy hot enthusiasts. Salsa is an interesting product, in that it is so easy to fall into the usual troupes when designing toward it. In fact, its very rare to see salsas without the standard fare of sombreros, maracas, jalapenos or flames. I decided to stay away from these troupes and try to find a new direction that is reminiscent of the idea of hot and spicy salsas without the usual imagery.
Scope
The goal is to create a label for Three Amigos packaging that is family friendly and immediately recognizable to potential buyers. The final product should be designed where different types of salsa can be recolored to reflect different types of flavors Three Amigos offers.

I have always been fascinated with true stories of government espionage, techniques in tradecraft and modern U.S. military surveillance capabilities. This particular subject has always seemed to endlessly captivate me. This project, The System, was created with the love of this subject in mind and was directly inspired by Laura Poitras’s 2014 documentary, Citizen Four, which was based on NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden. It covers a wide array publicly known surveillance programs exposed in the wake of the Snowden leaks.
